Tools Menu

Command

Purpose

Options... Displays the Options dialog box which allows you to set basic options in Jamba.

General tab

Show splash screen on start up - This option sets whether or not you want the Jamba splash screen to appear whenever you open Jamba.

Open last project on start up - When the Jamba application is first started, the last project that you were working on before you exited will immediately open.

Use "Quick Helpers" - When this option is selected, clicking on a value field for a property will immediately open a tool to help you find a value. Example: Clicking on the Filename property's value field will immediately launch a file browser to let you search for the appropriate file.

Number of files in File History List - This determines the number of most recently opened files to display. The top file is the most recently opened file.

Run tab

Confirm project and page saves before running - This option determines whether or not to display a dialog box confirming that you want to save your project's . jmb, .jtf, and .html files when you run your application.

Run application using - This option sets which method to use to play the application. You have the choice of using either the Application Viewer included in Jamba or your Web browser. If you select the browser option, you must set the file path to where your browser is located. You can use the file browser button provided to help you search.

Page tab

Confirm page saves before closing - This option determines whether or not to display a dialog box confirming that you want to save your project's page(s) when you close a page.

Show solid objects while dragging - This option sets the appearance of objects as they are being moved. If selected, you see the entire object as it moves. If unselected, you see just an outline of the moving object.

Display Object List on the - This option sets where the list of created object will appear. The choices are Bottom, Left, Right, and Top.

ImageLab Runs ImageLab, the graphic utility that comes with Jamba. ImageLab allows you to perform tasks such as capturing images, reduce or increase the number of colors an image supports, and reduce or increase the size of images. You can manipulate individual graphics and simultaneously apply changes to groups of images. Another key feature of ImageLab is that it lets you take several graphics and combine them into an image strip that is used to create cycling graphic animations. (For more information on cycling graphics see the section on Graphic objects in Chapter 6.)
